Ever since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to be a wife and mother. I was lucky to be surrounded and raised by such a loving, close tribe. It’s safe to say my family is my passion and first priority. When I first met my husband, I somehow knew he would be the one I would spend the rest of my life with. I married my high school sweetheart at the young age of 19, and we moved to a different state and into the military lifestyle just five days after our wedding! Crazy, right?! During that time, we had our two little blessings (*cough* monsters), who have certainly spunked up our world.
As I stayed at home raising our babies, in a different state away from my family, it was important for me to document my daughters’ personalities. I didn’t want to forget their messy bedheads, or the way they shoveled cheerios into their cheeks for storage. I didn’t want their toothless grins to become unrecognizable or when they got into the dog food and spilt it everywhere to stomp on to be a thing of the past. I want the love my husband and I share to be documented. I revel in those little moments. One day, I’m going to become a forgetful old woman but I’m going to have those photos to look back on and share with the rest of my world. I’m going to laugh until I can’t breathe and smile until it hurts my face. I always had an appreciation for photography because of my sister’s interest in it when we were younger. I loved how she could look so deeply into another person and capturing their souls. I knew I wanted to share in her talent but I never knew how big of an interest it would be to me.
Which brings me to now.
I’m observant, and I love being that fly on the wall. I’m good humored and easily amused. I am also patient when I want to capture the essence of a person, whether they are an adult or a child. I thrive to catch the dynamic of a relationship because I love what is real and authentic. No relationship is the same and that is worthy of being documented. Each photo is unique in its own quirky way. I am beyond excited to work with families and couples to bring out the best in them.
